Westmoreland Community Action (WCA) is a non-profit organization that works to improve individuals and families quality of life and reduce poverty in the community.
WCA is currently looking for a Human Resource Director at our Donohoe Road, Greensburg location. The Human Resource Director is responsible for implementing HR policies and procedures. The director will Plan, direct, and coordinate human resources functions for Westmoreland Community Action and all other contracted entities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain an accurate Human Resource database and accurate personnel files, including all documentation, on a confidential basis.
- Provide human resource functions as contracted through Westmoreland Community Action.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work responsibilities for the Human Resource Department Staff.
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, in regard to accessing Protected Health Information, according to the Table of Access contained in the HIPAA Policy and Procedure Manual. Employees access is on a “need to know” basis. This position will perform the duties of HIPAA Deputy as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer who is the Privacy/Security Officer who is referenced in the HIPAA Compliance manual.
- Any and all other job related duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, REQUIREMENTS AND/OR SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or other related
- Five years experience in the Human Resource field or any combination of education, certification, and experience.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, confidentiality, conduct correspondence, communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, employees and clients.
- Must be computer competent; Microsoft excel, word
