General Statement of Duties:

  • Under the direction of the HSE Manager, and working directly with the Operations team, ensuring that operational activities are conducted in a manner that is safe and in compliance to company and regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • The position requires travel to locations in Texas and some travel Total Oilfield’s field operations within North Dakota and Wyoming may be required.
  • Scope of work to include rental equipment operations, and transportation.

Summary of Duties:

  • Promote a culture of personal responsibility and commitment toward the environment, safety and health – zero harm; and champion Savanna and Total’s Visions and Values.
  • Ensure the safety management system is implemented and functioning within the designated region.
  • Educate and mentor personnel on their application of Safety Management System, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements, ensuring that HSE remains a key focus at the operational level.
  • Participate with operations safety meetings, pre-job planning meetings, client review meetings, and safety training.
  • Develop sound knowledge of drilling and /or completion techniques, activities and the associated risks.
  • Support the Operations team with incident reporting and investigations, identifying root cause and corrective/preventative actions.
  • Remain current and knowledgeable of OSHA, DOT regulation, industry best practices, and other Health and Safety Regulations.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong Organizational skills;
  • Working knowledge in MS Word and Excel to prepare reports.
  • Respond calmly to emergency and /or critical situations;
  • Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and concisely;
  • Ability to travel to remote rig sites
  • Handle confidential information in an ethical manner
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Ability to work unconventional hours.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent:
  • 2 years industry experience.
  • Maintain working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Willing to become certified trainer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

  • Oil and Gas Industry: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Safeland, H2S. (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Required)
