POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the sourcing, screening, and referring of applicants for positions companywide. Also, to assist with human resources duties to include, but not limited to new employee onboarding, employee status and benefits changes in the HRIS system, recordkeeping and reporting, and handling employee and manager inquiries and requests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Performs recruitment activities including creating and updating job descriptions, managing internal/external postings and ads, candidate searches, interviewing, screening, and background checks.
· Develop and maintain a consistent recruiting process for all open positions.
· Build and maintain relationships with Fluid Power and Technical schools across organization footprint
· Ensure candidates meet or exceed minimum qualifications of the job description.
· Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and communicate status of open requisitions.
· Acts as liaison between candidates and hiring managers.
· Creates reports and analyzes data to support department metrics.
· Works with Payroll Administrator and HR Specialist on payroll and HRIS activities.
· Stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive
· Minimal travel required to attend job fairs, as needed
· Performs additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent attention to detail, handles multiple tasks and deadlines easily
· Able to work with minimum supervision, be a self-starter
· Possess intermediate computer (Microsoft Office Suite), internet, and recruitment mining skills; HRIS and Payroll (ADP) software knowledge preferred
· Familiar with LinkedIn, Indeed, and Zip Recruiter job boards
· Works well in a team environmental and possess the ability to work alone with minimal supervision
· Able to maintain confidential information
· Strong communication and interpersonal/customer service skills
· Strong Client/Service approach with managers, candidates and employees.
· Ability to problem solve as well as use own initiative.
· Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Associates degree, and a minimum of 2 years of recruiting experience for a medium sized (500 employees), multi-site, multi-state company
· Working knowledge of employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA
· PHR certification preferred
