We are looking for a full time, direct hire, HR Coordinator in Altoona, PA

In this role, you will:

• Assist with the hiring process to include job description creation, recruitment, conducting interviews and new hire orientation

• Assist with the creation and implementation of employee training and development and Human Resources policies

• Conducting Human Resource reviews at locations to ensure implementation of and compliance with best practices and federal, state and local employment law

• Collaborate with clergy members to provide and/or coordinate resolution with Human Resources-related issues

• Guide clergy members and their families through the processes aligned with transitioning to retired status

• Participate in research, creation, and implementation of quality services for clergy members at all stages of their vocation

• Maintain and facilitate benefits processes to include annual enrollment, new hires and terminations, and Healthcare Spending Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts

• Work with Human Resources Director and benefits administrators to create wellness and healthcare related initiatives

• Maintain the Diocesan Lay Pension Plan process

• Providing administrative support to include answering phone calls, creating, and distributing communications, making calls on behalf of Human Resources Director, processing mail and filing

Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Human resources: 2 years (Preferred)
• Benefits administration: 2 years (Preferred)
• Clerical: 2 years (Preferred)
