Position Summary

The GTFSD-Glendale site is looking for an HR Assistant! We are a growing site with 300+ team members.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective employee assistance/service; assist employees with problems and questions related to Human Resources programs and Company policy.
  • Assist with special projects of a complex nature as assigned to ensure the selection, placement, motivation, development and retention of qualified employees.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and administration of company Human Resources policies, procedures and programs to support division, group, and corporate goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on HR related programs.
  • Gather and analyze data, conduct research, compose and prepare various reports exercising independentjudgment, proofread and correct grammatical, typographical or compositional errors.
  • Makes recommendations,including implications of the recommendation, based upon research findings.
  • Process and verify accuracy and completeness of employee status change forms, vacation, and other leave requests, educational reimbursement requests, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date personnel records and files.
  • Input into HRIS system information such as wage rate, classifications, payroll data, benefit information, employee history, address changes, etc.
  • Process new hires, transfers, terminations, promotions, performance appraisals, salary increases,
  • Interface with payroll to assist employees in resolving pay discrepancies.
  • Responsible for maintaining bulletin boards including job postings, company announcements and government bulletins.
  • Actively contribute to lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement.
  • Effectively apply lean concepts and tools in work area.
  • Perform other related responsibilities.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Two years general office experience including one year of Human Resources experience or equivalent related experience.
  • Two or more years of college level coursework toward a degree in HR, Business Administration or other related field.
  • Familiarity with federal and state labor/employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a team player.
