ServiceMaster Services is seeking friendly, conscientious and caring people to provide custodial / janitorial services for our office clients in the downtown area where I-95 and I-64 meet. There are many open positions, mostly full-time day shift, some part-time evenings across several locations in downtown and other parts of the City of Richmond, and East End, mid-town on Broad Street, and Mechanicsville Turnpike near I-64, the East End and Nine Mile Road. Some may be bus line accessible!

Pay: $14 - $17 per hour for cleaners and supervisors respectively
Also need floor techs / technicians at $18 per hour to scrub, buff, burnish, strip and wax floors and spot clean carpets.

Hours will vary depending on your role:
Some full-time ~8am - 5pm, Monday-Friday
Some part-time evenings ~5:00pm - 9pm Monday - Friday
Some full-time weekend shifts ~8am - 5pm

Job Duties

• Consistently provide a clean, secure and safe environment for the occupants of this facility.
• Be willing to learn how to use a floor scrubber
• Perform cleaning tasks which will include trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, mopping and restroom cleaning.
• Effectively and efficiently execute the cleaning plan for the building.
• Work productively with your ServiceMaster team members.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt responses to customer requests and concerns.

Job Qualifications

• Work history that demonstrates work ethic, dependability, and responsibility, and the ability and willingness to be at work daily, consistently.
• Ability to communicate effectively with client contacts, building occupants and co-workers.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as a member of a team.
• Strong work ethic and do whatever is necessary to get the job done.
• Willing and able to work in damp, dusty and soiled areas and clean up human waste and other body fluids as necessary. It's rare but it is part of the job.
• Physically able to be on your feet the entire shift and perform all tasks which include walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, crouching and lifting.
• Able to lift 35 lbs. and carry a 13 lbs. backpack vacuum cleaner.
• Pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Reliable transportation to the client's building.
