Responsibilties:
EVS Technician Responsibilities:
- Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward patients, students and co-workers
- Responsive to needs requests
- Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms,residential units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors in a clean, neat and sanitary manner
- Maintain all assigned patient rooms, ancillary areas and department areas and corridors in a clean neat and sanitary manner
- Follows appropriate protocol following patient discharges as observed by Supervisor or Team Leader
- Assists in enhancing productivity and efficient operations of the department
- Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to hospital and departmental annual training commitments
- Report safety hazards as appropriate
- Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal areas
- Replenishes supplies
- Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions and isolation precautions
Qualifications:
EVS Technician Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) strongly preferred.
- Good communication and Customer Service skills required
- Must be able to lift, bend and stand for long periods of time
- Must be flexible with working various days including alternating weekends and holidays
- The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required
