Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for
a Hospital Security Supervisor II who under general direction will plan, organize, coordinate and supervise through subordinate supervisors activities and staff involved in a variety of security functions to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and ensuring the safety of employees, customers, patients and visitors at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center; performs related duties as assigned.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
ARMC, which is owned and operated by San Bernardino County, is a state-of-the-art 456 bed university-affiliated, teaching medical center featuring the newest technology in the field of patient care. ARMC, is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department providing more than 90,000 annual visits, a Level I Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons, a Regional Burn Center, Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics and five Primary Care Family Health Centers (FHC). The FHCs offer comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals and families of all age groups. The FHCs are staffed with experienced attending physicians and resident physicians from the Medical Center. ARMC is a Primary Stroke Center and has a Baby Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA with over 2800 births per year. The Neonatal Intensive Care is a 30 bed Community California Children's Services certified unit.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1) ARMC is a 24 hour facility; applicants must be available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Indicate shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire.
2) The work environment may involve exposure to assaultive and combative patients and visitors.
3) Requires completion of Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training within 60 days of employment and maintenance of a current MAB certificate.
4) A valid California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment. Employees are required to drive county vehicles.
5) Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation and verification of employment history and education.
6) Vaccination Requirement: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In addition, CDPH Public Health Officer Orders updated on February 22, 2022 requires all workers in health care settings currently eligible for boosters, who provide services or work in the impacted facilities must be “fully vaccinated and boosted” for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022. COVID-19 Testing Requirements: Workers in impacted health care facilities who are not “fully vaccinated and boosted” are required to submit to COVID-19 testing at least twice per week to meet testing requirements.

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must meet all of the following:
Availability: Must be available to work ALL shifts, including weekends and holidays.
-AND-
Registration: Must possess and maintain a current Guard Registration Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services of California.
-AND-
Experience: Three (3) years of experience as a Security Guard or military or civilian law enforcement officer with one (1) year of full-scope supervisory experience. Supervisory experience must include the supervision of security officers while performing ALL or more of the following duties: hiring, firing, writing and signing work performance evaluations, approving time off, etc.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate has at least three (3) years of Acute Care Hospital Security Management experience. This person will also work successfully as part of a team and possess excellent customer service skills.
