Our ARs work in our local communities. Many ARs are very active, working with several exchange students each year. Others place and supervise one student at a time. This opportunity allows you to determine how active you choose to be.

You do not need experience working in cultural exchange to be a successful AR (although it doesn’t hurt!) What you need is a desire to bring the people of the world closer together and educate the leaders of tomorrow through cross-cultural educational experiences.

Duties of the AR include:

• Recruiting, screening, and supporting host families
• Offering guidance to students during their stay
• Working with your local high schools
• Acting as a cultural exchange -ambassador and encouraging participation in the program.

We have comprehensive training, and managers that are motivated to help you succeed in this role. We find that the most successful ARs have strong connections to their community and their local school districts, but this is not a requirement.
