Role and Responsibilities

The Large-Scale Integrated Photonics Laboratory at Hewlett Packard Labs has an immediate opening for a Research Scientist position with a background in Photonics test and measurement. The critical tasks are the conception and execution of wafer-level tests of photonic devices as well as data analysis. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience in photonics test and measurement as well as familiarity with measurement and data analysis automation especially using Python and similar high-level programming languages. Specific activities include

• Conception, design and execution of test campaigns

• Data analysis to extract statistical insights from wafer-level test data

• High speed testing of photonics devices for parameter extraction Measurement automation though Python scripting

Job Qualifications

• Master’s in electrical engineering or related areas with a photonic specialization

• Experience with testing of photonics devices

• Experience with the Python programming language

• Experience with statistical data analysis

• Good written and verbal communication skills will be required for technical reporting and problem solving.
