POSITION DETAILS
Department: Health Information Services
Location: Lewisburg, PA
Typical Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Primary Shift: Shift 1
Full Time Equivalent: 1.0 (full-time, 80 hours biweekly)
Exempt: No

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Requires an associate degree in Health Information Technology or equivalent or three (3) years experience working in health information management of a hospital or in a multi-provider clinic setting.
2. Requires three to six months on-the-job training to become familiar with hospital and departmental procedures.
3. Requires keyboarding skills for transcription as well as for the computer based support of the medical record storage, maintenance and retrieval.
4. Requires ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
5. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required.
6. Prior experience in medical records is preferred.
