Working under general direction from the Grand Connection Manager, you’ll lead day to day work coordinating the work of an energetic group of public and private partners working on a suite of projects and programs. You will work with the Bellevue Downtown Association, multiple City departments, and some of the city’s largest businesses.

Ideal candidates will have strong skills in project management, relationship management, public speaking, and possess a spirit of creativity. We’re looking for someone who can wear multiple hats—someone quick on their feet, ready to coordinate many different programs and services at once. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work with supervisor to manage scope, schedule, and cost for a wide range of activities related to the Grand Connection Program.
  • Lead the development and management of detailed schedules and work plans.
  • Provide consistent project updates to various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate matrixed teams’ work plans, timelines, goals, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate and facilitates communication between customer departments, contractors and technical consultants.
  • Facilitate effective decision making among stakeholders and leaders.
  • Conduct meetings/workshops with the business community.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Develop related budgets and tracks revenue and expenditures.
  • Respond to and coordinate with supervisor to resolve routine customer inquiries.
  • Assist with the development of project specifications and requests for proposals, and manage bid evaluation in coordination with internal and external partners.
  • Serves as information resource to city staff, external partners, and the public.

  • Ability to effectively apply program and project management principles, including scope, schedule, and budget management, risk management, communication, and decision-making.
  • Experience developing and implementing programs, policies and procedures.
  • Experience managing partnership agreements.
  • Ability to inspect work in progress, identify deficiencies and gain cooperation from staff, contractors, developers and consultants in correcting work.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Skill in the operation of a computer and utilizing appropriate software.
  • Ability to preemptively identify obstacles and develop options to mitigate.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Six or more years of professional, related experience
  • Or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Definition of a Variable Employee:

  • Average weekly hours cannot be determined at date of hire
  • Hours may vary from week to week and are anticipated to be 28 hours per week or less
Note: Employee will be considered full-time and eligible for medical coverage if hours average 30 hours per week or more over a 12 month measurement period (or for 130 hours per month.)
