Job description
Located in the beautiful high country of the North Carolina mountains, Linville Land Harbor Golf Club is an eighteen-hole, semi-private golf club located within a 750-acre community consisting of permanent and seasonal residents. The golf course is owned by the property owners and operates seasonally from early April through early November. The golf course turf is all cool season, with a mix of bent/Poa annua on our greens and a little bit of variety on the tees, fairways, and roughs. We have four full-time employees and add four seasonal employees during the golf season.
The service technician will be responsible to the golf course superintendent and will make safety, cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail their top priorities. Our primary fleet is John Deere turf equipment with several other allied pieces in the inventory. The service technician should have a good working knowledge in all facets of operating, maintaining, and repairing golf course equipment. Computer literacy relative to the job and record keeping is a necessity. The service technician may also be required to assist in morning maintenance activities and perform irrigation repairs. Some part-time weekend work will be required during the golf season.
This is a new full-time, year round position that has been approved by our board of directors and we are looking forward to finding a candidate that wants to help shape all facets of the job from the ground up.
