Job Overview:
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Genomics Laboratory Technician located at our Research Lab on the USF Tampa campus, and reporting into our Corporate Genomics Department.
Responsibilities:
The Genomics Laboratory Technician will provide technical support for procedures and related duties, ensuring smooth function of the genomics laboratory, reporting into the Director of the Genomics Institute. Responsibilities for this key role include performing laboratory analyses and all aspects of assays, managing research data, maintaining laboratory chemical and supply inventory, and performing general laboratory duties.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will either have an MSc degree with 1 year of genomics laboratory technician experience, or a BSc degree with 3 years of genomics laboratory technician experience.
