GENERAL:

We are looking for a hardworking, energetic, quality and safety-minded person to work in the above referenced position. This person must be able to work well with others and individually, and with little or no supervision. Interested candidate(s) must be able to read and understand a variety production paperwork including schedules, blueprints, spec sheets and other production paperwork, use measuring equipment and hand tools, be mechanically inclined and able to operate equipment/machinery as necessary. BRIEF DESCRIPION:

Mold Preparation - Employee will prepare fiberglass mold/forms for pouring Terra-Form products like waste containers, bollards, benches, planters, etc. Molds are cleaned of dust and material left from the previous pour. Rebar wires, inserts, etc. are added to the mold per specification and release oil applied.

Mold Assembly - Once the molds have been prepared, they are assembled as needed using nuts/bolts or adjustable vice grips.

Concrete Pouring - Using a crane, and mud-hopper, concrete is taken over to the mold and poured into each form and using pneumatic vibrators, vibrated to remove air and condense the concrete mixture and then is left to cure over night.

Mold Removal - The following day, products cast the previous day are removed 'popped' from the forms and using a crane and nylon or chain slings are placed on pallets and staged for further processing.

Finishing - Product is then patched and grouted using a specialized concrete mix, whereby holes and imperfections from the casting process are repaired. Different techniques are used in this process, dependent on product and finishing requirements. Sanding, by hand and using an orbital sander, is used to finish each piece.

SPECIFIC TASKS:

Employee will perform 5 primary tasks. Mold Preparation: scraping, using rags/solvents/cleaners, removing foreign material, adding rebar supports and bolt inserts, etc. Mold Assembly: Manually or with the assistance of slings, chains, and hoists, putting individual pieces of molds together and fastening them together with bolts and/or vice grips. Concrete Pouring: operating overhead crane and mud hopper, placing heavy pneumatic vibrating tools to molds, pouring concrete from the hopper to the mold. Mold Removal: manually removing vice grips to disassemble mold and free product. Finishing: patching and filling holes and other defects and/or applying a wetter grout mixture to fill very small holes.

Physical Requirements:

Includes but is not limited to, prolonged periods of standing, working on a computer, bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, walking, twisting, squatting and kneeling. Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, knees, back shoulders and neck. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and the like.
