General Management Objective:

Plan and direct all restaurant operations. Maintain high standards of food, service, health and safety, and ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources.

Main Job Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Set operating goals and objectives
  • Assess staffing requirements and recruit staff when needed
  • Oversee the training and coaching of staff
  • Prepare and implement our standard operating procedures
  • Manage staff performance in accordance with our established procedures
  • Ensure staff are educated and adhere to our established codes of practice
  • Organize and monitor staff schedules
  • Maintain employee records
  • Coordinate restaurant operations and communication for needs for each shift
  • Monitor adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen and restaurant
  • Keep records of health and safety practices
  • Ensure compliance with restaurant security/camera procedures
  • Ensure alcohol regulations are adhered to
  • Interact with customers and forming meaningful relationships
  • Advise customers on food and beverage choices
  • Oversee food preparation in collaboration with Head Chef/Kitchen Manager
  • Ensure adherence to set recipes
  • Ensure quality of food and beverage presentation are up to our established standards
  • Observe size of food portions and preparation quantities to minimize waste
  • Effectively communicate with Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to create solutions should problems arise
  • Interact with customers to ensure all inquiries and complaints are handled promptly and properly
  • Analyze food and beverage cost and assign menu items/prices through our website menu provider, Pop Menu
  • Ensure cash management and payroll procedures are completed accurately and on time
  • Analyze labor variances and take corrective actions
  • Implement our established financial controls
  • Plan and monitor restaurant sales and revenue
  • Organize and supervise marketing/social media promotional activities
  • Maintain business records
  • Develop long-term and short-term catering sales strategies at your location
  • Constantly evaluate the need for repairs and maintenance and execute the scheduling and repair
  • Arrange for maintenance and repairs of equipment and services
  • Keep current trends in restaurant industry
  • Communicate effectively with Regional Manager for development

Experience

  • Restaurant industry experience of 3+ years
  • Instill strong, passionate leadership qualities
  • The confidence in directing large teams
  • Experience in employee scheduling
  • Must have a problem solving attitude and the willingness to hold composure in challenging situations
  • A strong focus on attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Drive, Gmail, Payroll Processing, with the ability to use other relevant computer applications efficiently
  • In-depth working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Experience in staff management and development with proven success
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Experience in analyzing financial data
  • Knowledge of labor planning and forecasting
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
