The Gas Scheduling Analyst provides transactional analysis and scheduling, working with the Supervisor - Gas Supply and Trading to optimize and accurately provide activities on pipelines in support of the organization. Understands the basic movement of natural gas, knowledge of electronic bulletin boards, and internal tracking systems, and is capable of tracking transactions from inception to month end. Independent action required in dealing with problem solving. Work is diversified and will take on a variety of projects aimed at assisting our CHOICE program enrollment efforts and analysis.
SALARY RANGE: Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.
Gas Scheduling Analyst I: $67,650 - $101,450
Gas Scheduling Analyst Senior: $80,550 - $120,800
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Gas Supply & Trading Senior Manager
LOCATION: Denver, Colorado

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Works closely with Supervisor - Gas Supply & Trading to ensure all pipeline scheduling is performed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work with Director of Commodity Marketing and assist with retail sale (CHOICE) projects.
- Supporting Choice analytical activities.
- Monitor customer usage and flag customers who violate program rules.
- Develop and maintain position/hedge reports.
- Deal entry into Risk System.
- Schedule gas on inter/intrastate pipeline EBB systems and gas movement Endur. Performs end of month actualization in Endur.
- Works with suppliers, purchasers, pipelines representatives and point operators to monitor and minimize imbalances. When imbalances occur, works within pipeline and LDC guidelines to reduce, eliminate, or trade those imbalances in the manner most advantageous to the company.
- Interacts closely with internal accounting and third parties to help resolve any discrepancies that arise in monthly settlement.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Miscellaneous data related projects supporting the quantitative analysis as needed.
- Answer sales calls (expect to be less than 2% of time).
- Participate in weekend and evening on-call coverage - expect to share 50/50.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Gas Scheduling Analyst I:
- Minimum of (3) three years of experience in natural gas scheduling, natural gas industry, or other related experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Marketing, Engineering, Business, other relevant field of study; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Gas Scheduling Analyst Senior:
- Minimum of (5) five years of experience in natural gas scheduling, natural gas industry, or other related experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Marketing, Engineering, Business, other relevant field of study; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of deal entry and reporting from a CRM system.
- Understanding of Choice program rules.
- Experience scheduling on EBB's preferred. Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) is required.
- Analytical, strong oral and communication skills.
- Highly motivated individual with ability to work in fast paced environment, with strict deadlines.
- Planning, organization, problem solving, and analytical skills are important.
- Team player, positive, self-motivated, good attitude.
- Develop an expert understanding of all company transportation and storage contracts.
