Summary

We are a Christian daycare looking for a full-time lead teacher for our preschool program (30-40 hours / week).

Child Care Center Lead Teachers work with the Director and
Administrative Assistant to create a program that addresses the needs of the
children in their care. They are to encourage the healthy educational,
developmental, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual growth of the children in
the facility. They also supervise assistant teachers and volunteers that work
in their classroom. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well
with others in a team environment. They need to have the ability to self-direct,
meet deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.

We are looking for a teacher that loves to work with children
between the ages of 3-5 years (Preschool).

Duties

• Train children to live like Christ in all aspects of life through everyday activities and interactions
• Minister to children's needs through prayer and loving care
• Encourage positive behavior as well as good hygiene/cleanliness
• Maintain open communication with parents
• Mentor and train support staff
• Conduct regular assessments
• Model and implement classroom rules
• Maintain classroom order
• Lesson plan and implementation
• Daily chores and general custodial responsibilities
• Maintain and submit required records
• Administer first aid when necessary
• Create a safe and attractive classroom

Requirements

• High School Graduate (or equivalent)
• Previous experience as a lead teacher at another childcare center.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Washington STARS Basics training for Early Childhood Education.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must clear full background check.
• Must pass health screening.
• Must sign a lifestyle agreement form.
• Must sign a statement of faith form.

Nice To Haves

• Have an ECE state certificate, or have made progress towards it.
