About This Role:

We are looking for a Sr. Full-Stack Java/React Developer, where you'll be a part of an interesting team supporting a DoD software refresh project using Agile methodology. This project represents a multiyear effort for IT Modernization and Transformation requiring tested, secure, and hardened software solutions. This job is primarily REMOTE work, but due to the nature of the required DoD Clearance, some work at the customer site might be required. This position offers a sign-on bonus if successfully hired.

At this job you will...

• Work as an expert full-stack Java Spring Boot developer in support of React based UI applications.
• Be responsible for participating in the full agile application development life cycle for microservice API development using Java Spring Boot in support of a React front end web application.
• Have working knowledge of RDMS databases like Postgres and NO SQL databases like Redis
• Demonstrate solid experience with automated unit testing and associated technologies (Junit, Mockito, Cucumber)
• Work collaboratively as a full stack developer on Agile Scrum teams and have the ability to complete user stories and develop usable code independently with minimal oversight and guidance.
• Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization; contributes to acceptance/functional testing duties and part of incremental feature development
• Must possess superior oral and written communication skills in order to convey issues and ideas clearly and effectively to team members, management, and customers.
• Interface with customer and external teams to explain application functionality and behavior
• Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders and demo functionality on sprint by sprint basis

Required Education:

• BS in Computer Science or related field.

Required Experience:

• Eight (8) years of experience as a Java developer
• Five (5) years of experience as a Spring Boot developer
• Three (3) years of experience creating and maintaining RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Three (3) years of experience as a React developer
• Experience developing in a microservice based architecture
• Experience working with Agile tools such as Jira / Confluence etc.
• 3+ years of Agile experience utilizing DevSecOps & CI/CD pipelines
• Almost all work is remote (except for meeting with the DoD client), but all work MUST be done 100% in the United States
• Ability to obtain an NACI clearance from the DoD

Preferred Qualifications and Abilities:

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Apache Camel
• Familiarity with solving software security vulnerabilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
