About the job:
The Front Desk Receptionist provides professional and efficient clerical support to the facility, resulting in the delivery of excellent internal and external customer service.
Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum one-year secretarial experience.
- Ability to independently operate computer programs and support Executive Assistant with managing inventory.
- Proficient typing required.
- Able to communicate, verbally and in writing, and work effectively with various levels of staff, residents, family members and the public
Preferred Skills:
- A minimum of one year’s experience working with frail or elderly population required. Experience working with community-based housing, assisted living and long-term care is preferable.
Essentials:
- Assumes responsibility for designated clerical and receptionist duties at front desk.
- Receives incoming telephone calls, screens for correct transfer and connects with appropriate party.
- Greets and directs visitors; greets, screens and directs salespersons as advised.
- Monitors for building safety and initiates emergency response when necessary.
- Coordinates with maintenance department to ensure building is properly maintained.
- Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail; receives and routes package deliveries
