We are looking for an individual to join our Distribution Team, supervising the freight shipping division of our warehouse. This position will provide full oversight of the Truck Orders area, ensuring the integrity, timeliness, and efficiency of the order fulfillment life cycle for freight orders.The person in this position will supervise a number of direct reports and will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and appraising staff performance. This position works closely with other Distribution supervisors and is responsible for communication between workers and other departments, including the receiving and warehousing area, parcel shipping, inventory control, and sales operations to ensure we are properly aligning priorities and managing the workload to meet turnaround times, deadlines, and productivity goals.
Qualified candidates should possess a college degree or equivalent work experience and have one to three years of warehouse experience/knowledge of warehouse or distribution systems.
Candidates should enjoy motivating and encouraging a team of workers while maintaining a level of authority and respect.
This candidate must be organized and dependable with a sense of urgency and ownership, able to see the big picture, possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, possess the ability to set and manage priorities, exhibit motivation to meet productivity goals, and be able to stay calm under pressure. Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred. Leadership aptitude and a desire to grow as a leader are required.
