Description

The role of the Fragrance Evaluator I in the Fragrance Development team is to support fragrance initiatives in R&D. These initiatives include the fragrance evaluation across all product categories and applications of Newell Home fragrance division brands.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support olfactive evaluation of fragrances against appropriate targets through the different development phases of end-use product and applications.
• Support global fragrance development by issuing briefs for fragrance modifications and HF & Auto new seasonal fragrances
• Collect and prepare written documentation of evaluation comments to provide direction to perfumers for re-work.
• Make and record observations on fragrance performance across all bases, forms and technologies.
• Participate in internal fragrance development meetings and prepare follow-up communications with development lab, project Manager and brand development team.
• Evaluate on a regular basis market products from key countries in the assigned region to be aware of consumer preferences and new market trends in all consumer product end-uses.
• Support benchmarking initiatives
• Supports and participate in expert sensory panel.
• Participate to fragrance training provided to internal organization and/or customers.

Qualifications

• BA/BS, artistic or scientific discipline preferred
• Must be able to pass olfactive acuity test
• Possesses good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Can communicate fluently in English language
