Providence is calling a Food Services Worker (0.8 FTE, Variable shift) to work in Food and Nutrition Services Providence Marianwood in Issaquah, Washington. In this position you will:

• Following standard infection control and safe food handling guidelines, provides lunch service including setup, serving and cleanup.
• Prepares and serves morning beverage and snacks. Serves breakfast as needed.
• Maintains kitchen and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and neat condition, following safe food handling and storage procedures.
• Maintains required food service logs. Maintains refrigerator/freezer temperature logs in all participant areas.
• Keeps food containers used for meal transport clean and sanitary.
• Orders meals and maintains daily supplies necessary for the smooth operation of the kitchen and meal service. Ensures special diets are ordered and received.

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Food Handler's Permit (or must obtain within 14 days of hire)

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Previous food service experience in a health care setting.
• Working with the elderly.

Providence Marianwood in Issaquah, Washington compassionately serves people of all ages and faiths. Our Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident. Our Long Term Care unit provides skilled nursing in a residential setting, addressing the needs of our residents through creating a sense of community and home in “neighborhoods” and providing a model of care that is resident-centered.
