JOB SUMMARY:
The Food Court Food Handler is responsible for preparing and breaking down the station and for taking food orders form the customers. Associates keep track of stock on hand and notify supervisory staff of needed items during the shift.

STARTING PAY: $13.00 PER HOUR + TIPS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 Follow all applicable safety precautions for food service and preparation areas.
 Ensures that all food prepared is done on clean surfaces in accordance with restaurant and county health department regulations.
 Remain appropriately groomed and wears the uniform provided.
 Treats all customers with courtesy and respect.
 Promote additional items to customers as to maximize profits for Ark Las Vegas Restaurant.
 Ensure that food quality and presentation meets Arks Las Vegas Restaurant Corporation standards prior to serving to the customers.
 Ensure that food storage on that station is carried out in accordance with restaurant standards.
 Ensure that rules and regulations in employee handbook are adhered to all times.
 When applicable prepare made-to-order items requiring cooking (i.e. sandwiches, ice cream, salads, burgers, chicken, etc)
 Inventory station and inform the supervisor or manager of needed items.
 Clean food spillage from the station and report any problem to the supervisor or manager.
 Additional related duties as requested by the supervisor or manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 Ability to work from a standing position for extended period’s of time.
 Ability to lift 20-25 pounds repeatedly.
 Ability to perform reaching, stooping, (and/ or crouching) motions repeatedly.
 Dexterity in the hands fingers needed to manipulate tools, utensils and food products for proper service and presentation.
 Visual abilities needed to safely and accurately prepare and serve ordered food products.
 Auditory abilities needed to hear customer requests in a loud environment with multiple activities
occurring simultaneously.

NON-PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 Ability to read, to write, and to speak verbally in English, with management, employees and guests.
 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
 Possess the ability to perform basic math skills.
 Perception and awareness of customers’ needs and ability to understand questions, and instructions from supervisors and co-workers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
 Ability to meet age requirement.
 High school education or equivalent.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
 Employment eligibility for the United States.
 Clark County Health Card.
