What you will be doing
In this role, you will be responsible for all food and beverage production and service for the property as directed by hotel/company leadership, it is a Chef and B position which would manage the culinary staff in addition to front of house staff.. This position is a strategic partner who helps the property achieve its goals by being an advocate, leader, and champion for inspiring achievement in the food & beverage team. The manager supervises all of the food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, lounges, nightclubs, in room dining, kitchens, stewarding, and banquets as applicable for the property. The Food and Beverage Manager must harmonize the culture, mission, values, and quality standards to ensure maximum potential is achieved. This person must create an exceptional climate of professional and personable service that ensures the engagement of employees, guests, and owners. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol standards.
Requirements
Requirements include basic reading, writing and math skills. You may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. This job requires ability to perform the following: regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently standing up and moving about the work area, handling objects and equipment to help maintain the facility, frequently bending, stooping and kneeling, working in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment found in that of a hotel/kitchen environment.
Education & Experience
Four year degree from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five (5) or more years of experience in a food and beverage leadership role in a comparable hotel environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead, motivate and develop others
