Job Title:
Flat Rate Technician
Reporting To:
Service Manager
Performance Review Period: Twice Annually
Purpose of the position:
The Flat Rat Technician's main objective is to ensure that a thorough Courtesy Inspection is performed on every vehicle that enters the Service bays and that any suggested or required work is presented to the Service Writer or Manager. All work performed will maximize efficiency according to the Professional Repair Estimate Guides used and uphold the highest quality workmanship standards in the Automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility #1 – Work safely by adhering to all safety guidelines
Measurement –Safety Audit and number if Incidents
Responsibility #2 – Execute and support Courtesy Inspection Program and its requirements
Measurement- Safety audit and Number of incidents/accidents
Responsibility #3 – Execute and support Courtesy Inspection Program and its requirements
Measurement- Service Audit and Inspection/Key Indicators
Responsibility #4- Meet and demonstrate training requirements
Measurement- Meet Required training goal / Clarix reporting and ECP requirement
Responsibility #5- Execute the VIP Culture. This includes Fluid Samples, Inspection of Tires, Filters, Intake boots, coolant test strips.
Measurement- Service Audit and daily inspection.
Responsibility #6- Execute the highest level of Standards and expectations. This includes, but is not limited to Vehicle protection, Test Driving, support promotional expectations, hangtags on all vehicles, customer interaction as needed,
Measurement – Service Audit, Service and Store manager assessment
Responsibility #7- Works to maintain professional work environment, Shop and Store standards meet company expectations.
Measurement-
Daily plan, closing checklist and service Audit.
Responsibility #8- Demonstrate the ability to help support Profit and loss performance.
Measurement- Technician productivity, Payroll and Overtime reports, Installed Parts, Proper handling of warranty parts.
Responsible for all other duties as assigned
