Reports to: Dealer Principal and General Manager
Summary: The Fixed Operations Director oversees the service and parts departments and is responsible for the reputation, efficiency, and profitability of these departments.
Essential Duties

• Forecasts goals and objectives for the departments and strives to meet them
• Hires, trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of the service and parts department managers
• Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the service and parts departments
• Maintains reporting systems required by general management and the manufacture
• Attends and provides feedback at managers meetings
• Monitors the performance of the service and parts department
• Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affects repair operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Ensures that the workplace is safe
• Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
• Fosters professional employee development and coordinates with department managers to determine need for advanced training
• Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for the thoroughness and quality.
• Makes customer satisfaction a department priority, ensuring that service and parts personnel are courteous and respectful in their interaction with customers.
• Develops dealership service and parts pricing plans and recommends to dealer or general manager
• Works with parts and service mangers to find ways to improve overall profitability of the dealership
• Establishes and maintains good working relationship with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities
• Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments
• Maintains high customer satisfaction standards
• Remains fully compliant with Company HR trainings and manufacturer required trainings
• Maintains a professional appearance
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:*

• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) preferred
• Four to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• General service technical knowledge required
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Superior verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Competent in Word, Excel, and CRM Databases
