We are looking for a Firmware Engineering Intern to join us on our mission to end death on the job by the year 2050!

Position overview

This position will work with the team of Embedded Firmware Engineers. Embedded Firmware Engineering has the responsibility to architect, develop, integrate, and test device level firmware within our portfolio of gas detection devices!

The candidate will assist engineers with firmware development, integration, and testing.

Responsibilities and deliverables

Integration of new gas sensors into existing products

Evaluation and experimentation with modules/components for: New product features, next generation platform, supply chain constraints

Participation in Code Reviews

Documenting experiments with analysis of the results and presenting test results

Test the integration of firmware with the hardware

Qualifications

Analytical skills for test planning and test result analysis against use case requirements.

Understanding of ‘C’ code – able to read/write code in C programming language.

Understanding of microcontrollers and their associated peripherals.

Interpersonal skills – written reports and express ideas verbally.

Can complete tasks with mentorship from an engineer.
