Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Responsible for performing service calls including, but not limited to, troubleshooting and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. The Fire Sprinkler Service Technician is responsible for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum downtime and maximum performance. All installations must meet the highest quality standards set forth by DynaFire, LLC, while assuring a professional and safe working environment.
Location:

• Brevard County Area, FL
• Ft. Myers Area, FL
• Pompano/Miami/Deerfield Beach Area, FL
• St. Pete/Clearwater/Tampa Area, FL

Tasks:

• Responds to clients' service related issues promptly and must have the ability to deal effectively with clients.
• Maintain the ability to effectively communicate the needs required to complete DynaFire's scope of work to all parties responsible for portions effecting the timely completion of that scope.
• Assist the DynaFire's Sales and Estimating staff with information leading to additional sales and change order opportunities.
• Maintain a good working relationship with AHJ's.
• Perform all tasks listed on service repairs, deficiencies, and installations work orders.
• Complete project related paperwork.
• Follow all DynaFire policies and procedures.
• Interface with DynaFire Engineering Department to create accurate documentation.
• Assist with design, layout, field surveys, and client meetings as needed to secure a bid requested by sales or management.
• Assist clients in after hour service related calls.
• Train and instruct the client on the proper use of the equipment.
• Have good follow-up and time management skills.
• Have the ability to work long hours when needed.
• Timely communication to the supervisor for any projects related issues or improvements.
• Consistently analyze and update tools to maintain efficiency and examine and recommend the use and purchase of labor saving devices.
• Have a working knowledge of construction equipment including but not limited to step ladders, extension ladders, scissor lifts, hand tools, power tools, cordless tools, powder actuated tools, cutting tools, wire pulling devices, and fastening systems.
• Maintain a good driving record
• Full compliance with DynaFire's and client safety program.
• Research and obtain information on position specific training opportunities.
• Obtain a NICET level 1 within one year of becoming a Fire Sprinkler Technician.
• Regularly attend and participate in training classes or programs to increase one's knowledge and help train others.
• Other duties as required or assigned by DynaFire management.
• Will have the responsibility of properly caring for and maintain a laptop computer.
• Is responsible for correctly updating and maintaining reports as required by management.
• Understand and apply NFPA 13, 14, 20, 24, and 25 codes.
• Have the ability to interpret shop and contract drawings regarding the scope of work.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Fire Sprinkler service.
• Fluent in backflows, dry systems, wet systems, fire pumps, fire pump controllers, alarm devices, and possess skills to troubleshoot.
• After 1 year becoming Fire Sprinkler Technician need to have NICET Level 1 or the equivalent in water-based systems.
• Need to understand DynaFire office hardware and software.
