Job description
The Field Finish Service Technician is responsible for resolving problems with Tharp products after installation. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability. The person in this position is essential in satisfying customer expectations and routinely represents the company in the field.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide service and customer support during field visits and dispatches.
- Work closely with Project Managers to complete punch lists.
- Work with contractors and customers in understanding issues
- Produce timely and detailed service reports utilizing provided reporting tools.
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner
- Fix problems using finish restoration and touch up skills
- Conducts vehicle inspections per DOT Regulations
- Clean and maintain vehicle
- Build positive relationships with customers.
- Provide solutions to problems presented at the field installation site.
- Must be able to clearly communicate problems to Service Manager and Project Manager to provide solutions using their expertise in cabinet finishing, woodworking, trim carpentry, stain and finish restoration and touch ups.

Education or Formal Training: High School diploma preferred but not required
Licenses Needed: Colorado Driver’s license and a driving record that meets Tharp’s Requirements. Must be at least 23 years old due to Insurance requirements.
Experience: Minimum of 1+ years trim carpentry/cabinet installation/wood working experience. 2+years wood finishing/ touch up and restoration.
Physical Activities and Safety: 40% standing,40% walking, 20 % sitting - Must be able to lift and carry 100 lbs. Must strictly adhere to company safety policy, including wearing safety glasses, gloves and a back brace where required.
