Position Summary
The Financial Analyst, Winery Support is responsible for supporting the Sanoma facilities and operations management teams (general managers, plant managers, winemakers, etc.). Serving as the face for Operations Finance for the region, this role is responsible for developing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), leading monthly close processes, providing reporting and actionable insights, and working with key business partners to develop plans to deliver favorability to the bottom line.
This person is a member of the Operations Finance team reporting to the Manager, Operations Finance.
Responsibilities
Support winery operations leadership to achieve and deliver strategic initiatives and KPIs
Provide monthly financial analysis and reporting to business partners and senior leadership
Assist in monthly financial close activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Oversee AOP budget development for multiple business units
Lead by example – challenge business partners to drive better overall results and decisions
Take on and prioritize project-based work and ad-hoc requests from the business as needed
Ensure financial integrity and protect the company’s assets
Qualifications
Is a well-rounded financial business partner – prior experience in consumer-packages goods (CPG) a plus
Experience in and/or a passion for wine & spirits
Has an entrepreneurial spirit; finds new ways to complete tasks, while achieving better results
Is competitive but also wants to have fun
Is a great teammate; communicates equally well with experienced senior leaders and new associates
Can clearly articulate business issues; is comfortable with back of the envelope analysis in support of timely decisions
Hands-on style, detail orientation and strong work ethic
Willing to travel to the Napa and Sonoma facilities on a regular basis
Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting required
Experience in Finance, Business Strategy, or Analytics functions preferred
Expert Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, charts, etc.); Experience in planning and reporting systems such as SAP and BPC preferred
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks and effectively communicate at all levels in the organization
Highly motivated, results oriented individual who excels in a dynamic environment
Proactively gains commitment and initiates action
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
Primary work environment is remote
Ability to travel commercially to domestic and international locations

Finance & AccountingThe salary range for this role is:
$66,000.00 - $97,000.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
