Cambridge Rindge & Latin School is a comprehensive high school divided into four Learning Communities designed to promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students. Honors courses are offered in all core classes (English, History, Mathematics, and Science); Advanced Placement (AP) courses are available to qualified students in grades 11 and 12.

The Opportunity:
The Cambridge Rindge and Latin School seeks a Family Resources Liaison to begin immediately. The Family Liaison will work with staff, students, families and community partners to foster a school environment that is consistently welcoming to families, respects and honors student and family diversity with the school community, and draws upon family and community resources to enhance teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
The duties of the Family Resource Liaison include (but are not limited to):
- Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to foster regular, two-way, culturally proficient communication between the high school and families.
- Take an active role in establishing and maintaining a school environment in which families from all backgrounds feel welcome and respected. Help new students and families understand and access school information and resources.
- Communicate with current and potential families about academic, athletic, art, extracurricular programs and other opportunities.
- Provide families with relevant and timely information and notices about school operations and events.
- Help direct families to community resources and support the management of community relationships under the direction of the principal.
- Provide tours, shadowing, and information sessions.
- Develop family workshops.
- Organize the high school family-teacher conference events.
- Participate in district-wide Family Liaison meetings and other school-based meetings that may include School Council meetings, coffee hours, etc.
Your Skill Set:
As a full-time Family Resource Liaison you will possess many, though perhaps not all, of the following characteristics and qualifications:
- Associate’s degree, or 48 college credits in education, non-profit management, or other relevant field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Previous successful experience working in a community-based organization working to meet the needs of children and families.
- Previous experience working with children and families in an urban, multicultural setting, preferably within a high school setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate cultural proficiency.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours including before school, evenings, and occasional weekends.
- Be able to demonstrate strong and caring leadership.
Cambridge Public Schools is committed to slowing and/or stopping the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, as a condition of employment with Cambridge Public Schools, all new hires will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 no later than their first day of work. Salary:
Appropriate step on the Family Resource Liaison Salary Schedule ($55,097 - $67,665, depending on education level).
