Job Summary: Responsible for following all safety operational procedures while performing daily team maintenance and diagnosis and fixing minor stops on weave machines producing fabric. It will be essential that the Maintenance Technician supports and integrates Sizemore’s core values of Flexibility, Improvement, Reliability, Safety and Teamwork into the daily performance of assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and fix minor stops on the weave machines.
• Perform Daily Team Maintenance on weave machines.
• Observe woven cloth to detect weaving defects.
• Lubricates cycles on Picanol Omni.
• Perform minor breakdowns.
• Complete forms for daily PM’s.
• Correct any sheets done by the inspector.
• Correct air and oil leaks on job from weekly air and oil leak audits.
• Place shop work orders as needed.
• Repairing minor material stops on weave machines.
• Examine looms to determine causes of loom stoppage, such as warp filling, harness breaks, or mechanical defects.
• Remove defects in cloth by cutting and pulling out filling.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or recipient of GED preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred
• Basic mathematical, reading, and communication skills
• Have good hand eye coordination
• Must function effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Positive attitude & good work ethic
• Demonstrate a commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
• Possess patience, tact, enthusiasm as well as diplomacy in all interactions.
• Possess initiative and sound judgement in evaluating and reacting to situations.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in time sensitive situations.
• Possess problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, read/comprehend detailed instructions and process information with accuracy and clarity.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work rotating shifts.
• Work will be performed in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. .
• Must be able to stand for long periods and move freely throughout 400,000 square foot facility
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when performing specific job tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
