Job description
The Housekeeper is responsible to clean and sanitize assigned areas in accordance with all applicable regulatory requirements, hospital procedures, and infection control standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Demonstrates excellent customer service to all patients, family members, visitors, and co-workers; exhibits Carroll County Memorial Hospital’s Standards of Behavior as it relates to the hospital’s ICARE values.
Completes all daily, weekly, monthly cleaning activities as assigned in accordance with all applicable standards and requirements to ensure all quality, safety, and service expectations are met.
Follows all infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure a safe, sanitary environment is maintained at all times. Follows all reporting procedures.
Reports all product needs, equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and repairs needed to supervisor in a timely manner. Organizes and stocks supplies as required.
Represents Carroll County Memorial Hospital in a friendly, professional manner; follows both oral and written instructions; demonstrates ability to work both individually and as part of a team. s
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
1-year customer service experience preferred
Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Must be able to be certified in BLS/CPR
