Job Description:
Fiduciary Trust International is hiring an Events and Sponsorships Manager to join our growing Marketing department. While the position offers flexibility for hybrid work, many of the event and sponsorship initiatives are centered in the NYC metro area. Therefore, NYC metro area employee is preferred.
Position Overview:
The Events and Sponsorships Manager reports to the Regional Marketing Director, who is charged with developing regional marketing strategies and key tactical initiatives that support the business objectives across all our key regions.
In this position, you will oversee the planning and execution of live, digital and hybrid events (primarily single day events with or without content, such as presentation, panel discussion, fireside chat, symposium, and classroom format) both for external and internal audiences. Contribute to development of content. Develop schedules, timelines and priorities, ensuring deadlines are met within budgets. Maintain event/program data and billing information, tracking key information (e.g. costs, attendance, and engagement) for reporting purposes. Evaluate the success of programs and events and develop a course of action for future events to leverage successes and seek improvement where needed. Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements, including insurance, legal, health and safety requirements both on and off site.
You will also manage and oversee implementation of brand sponsorships including industry groups (e.g. trust & estate conferences, legal industry conferences and meetings) and other organizations; and manage and oversee implementation of donations to charitable organizations; seeking maximal brand benefit/marketing optimization of the spend on these initiatives. Manage vendor relationships through contracts, negotiations, and regular communication regarding programs and services. Continually seek and drive enhancements to event/sponsorship planning and execution, departmental policies and processes as a vehicle for achieving organizational objectives, while upholding set standards, policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver strategic programs and events that engage top-priority targets and drive meaningful interactions with clients, prospects and Centers of Influence (COIs) to support business goals of new client acquisition, client referrals, and increased wallet share.
  • Execute all programs and events within specified budget
  • Partner with business lines and front office stakeholders across our US regions to align plans that leverage/create shared opportunities, ensuring market connectivity and coordination
  • Serve as Marketing Lead with end-to-end ownership of all national and local events and programs – from idea generation, planning and agenda development through coordinating with content providers, sourcing speakers, and overseeing all logistics – calendaring, scheduling, contracting with and coordinating with internal partners and external vendors, and deploying all event communications
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Events and Sponsorships function including end-to-end tracking of all activities and ongoing budget monitoring / tracking, ensuring all initiatives are completed on time and within set budget
  • Analyze programs for effectiveness, ROI analysis and evaluation - identify key performance indicators, measure, and report on the effectiveness of executed plans, sharing results and exploring opportunities to adjust for enhanced ROI
  • Assist in various ad hoc projects to support business objectives vis a vis prospect/client/COI engagement
Ideal Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • 10 + years' experience in HNW and/or luxury-brand events management with a keen understanding of the requirements and nuances of engaging with this unique segment. Experience as a marketing campaign manager desired
  • Financial Services industry experience and knowledge a plus. Experience in private banking / wealth management a plus
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills required with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Formal Project Management experience/training a plus
  • Ability to manage projects across businesses, functions, and geographic locations
  • Strong executive presence; experience working and communicating with executive leadership
  • Highly detail oriented, forward-thinking, positive, proactive and willing to drive change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiating and influence skills
  • Experience with using event management / email marketing platforms a plus
  • Intellectually curious with a genuine interest in knowledge gathering and problem solving
  • Proactively looks for opportunities to build strong relationships within the team and across the business
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to rapidly changing business needs
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload independently
  • Excel and PowerPoint expertise

Compensation Range: Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $120,000 - $150,000.
