Job Title: Reclaim/Rebuild Technician
Job Summary:
The Reclaim/Rebuild Technician is a technical position requiring proven equipment diagnosis and repair capability with knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures, product technical manuals, computer software programs and strong written and oral communications skills. This person will manage a large inventory of reclaimed parts, equipment, and accessories; and will rebuild core assemblies in support of internal service personnel needs.
Essential Functions:
- Set up and test equipment to verify the unit is operational
- Remove usable parts from salvaged equipment
- Label the usable parts and prepares for shipment
- Process reclaimed parts for service calls and for Return to Stock (RTS)
- Prepare the destruct machine for disposal
- Maintain the Resale Equipment Repair and Refurbishment Program
- Remove/install parts from operational equipment to fulfil authorized “borrowed parts” requests
- Rebuild/refurbish core assemblies
- Update Microsoft SharePoint (or prevailing document management application)
- Professionally interacts with internal/external customers
- Embody the Centric Way
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Requires basic technical knowledge (mechanical, electrical circuitry, electronics, and basic computer literacy) typically gained through completion of 2 years of technical school
- Must have strong organization skills and be highly detail oriented
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Excel and Word
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Must be able to safely lift up to 75 pounds
