Enrollment Coach (part-time contractor)
Job description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Enrollment Coach contractor position will assist graduate students navigate important enrollment processes (e.g., advising, registration, bill payment, financial aid, etc.) from the point of enrollment deposit through graduation from the University. The additional assistance is needed to help mitigate deposit attrition (i.e., melt) and support retention. This position provides proactive guidance along with front line service to graduate students that requires active listing and problem solving. The Enrollment Coach will engage in a Culture of Caring striving to respond systematically to student needs and remove barriers that may prevent them from achieving their personal and professional goals.

Reports directly to the Associate Dean, Graduate and Continuing Education Undergraduate Programs
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist graduate students navigate pre-matriculation enrollment processes to mitigate deposit attrition.(Processes include submission of required documents, advising, registration, financial aid, bill payment, orientation attendance, etc.)
- Assist graduate students navigate post-matriculation enrollment processes to support retention.(Processes include advising, registration, financial aid, bill payment, understanding degree audits/graduation requirements, etc.)
- Liaise with functional offices (e.g., Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Accounts, Advising, Veteran and Military Services) to understand processes, requirements, deadlines, points of contacts, etc.
- Assist graduate students navigate enrollment processes through proactive communication and responds to graduate students in a timely manner via email, text and phone systems.
- Assist graduate students solve enrollment related issues related to pre-matriculation and post-matriculation activities. Assist with solving issues related to student success, review student educational plans, degree audits, petitions, and graduation requirements. Assist students with identifying university resources that will be able to assist them in being successful by implementing the Culture of Caring.
- Collaborate with graduate faculty advisor throughout the student's enrollment to ensure all courses a student takes are in the students' degree plan and that the student is advancing towards graduation at an appropriate pace.
- Collaborates with the Office of Veteran and Military Services to ensure graduate students are receiving appropriate benefits and services.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a bachelor's degree
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively with faculty, administrative staff, and students.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Demonstrates general understanding and ability to use student information systems (e.g., Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Datatel, PeopleSoft, etc.) and CRM/Retention software (e.g., Slate CRM, Ellucian Banner Recruiter, Salesforce, Starfish, etc.).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated knowledge of FSU graduate programs
- Demonstrated experience with Ellucian Banner Student Information System, programs related to the Unified Digital Campus (e.g., Argos), Technolutions Slate CRM, and Starfish Retention solution.
- Demonstrated experience working with graduate students
Additional Information:
This is a part-time non-benefited, contract position, not to exceed 18 hours per week. This position is currently approved through June 30, 2023. Ongoing employment is contingent upon future approval and funding. The pay rate is $25 per hour.
