About this role:

Technical support engineers for engines are committed to providing high-quality support for users. Here, you will participate in game development. You will also provide users with trouble-shooting, requirements communication, and training. Bridging end-users and engine development experts, you will deliver effective technical solutions to achieve desired results. This position will expose you to the technology of an in-house game engine. We welcome and look forward to your enthusiasm, creativity, and services.

Responsibilities:

  • As a technical support engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Provide technical support for games project teams on-site or remotely; be responsible for delivering the engine to project teams.
  • Provide training for project teams on the use of in-house game engines, and provide consultation and troubleshooting services. Resolve users' complaints, follow up and provide feedback in a timely.
  • Responsible for communicating with the project about new requirements, conducting analysis to determine requirements, and collaborating with engine experts to promote the development of the requirements lifecycle.
  • Responsible for the preparation and multilingual translation of relevant technical documents for the in-house engine, and maintain the engine community.
  • Assist engine development experts in implementing various features, and producing technical solutions for use in-game projects.
  • Localization of technical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, minimum of 2 years in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience. (Game industry is preferred)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Good written skills.
  • Have a user-oriented mentality and be enthusiastic about problem-solving. Have the ability to identify. technical or workflow issues in the work environment and makes timely improvements.
  • Good at collecting and organizing information, summarizing requirements from users, and record keeping.
  • This position needs to contact very frequently with the team in China, so Chinese is mandatory

Pluses:

  • Passion for video games, passion for the game industry.
  • Experience with mobile game development or testing.
  • Experience with content-driven game engines (e.g. Unreal, Unity, Frostbite), or proprietary engines is a plus.
  • Experience with computer graphics(development, testing).
  • Proficiency with Python and/or C++.
