Responsibilities:

To insure Emission compliance of international combustion engines in the West Texas and Delaware Basin Areas. This position will be responsible for testing all WTX natural gas internal combustion engines for regulatory compliance relative to exhaust emissions, adjust and tune engine controls to meet current and future emission levels, trouble shoot engine air/fuel controls, electronic and mechanical, and develop and maintain a WTX unit testing schedule.


  • Safely perform duties to insure all internal combustion engines pass TCEQ/EPA mandated emissions levels.
  • Tuning electronic fuel/air ratio controller, doing minor maintenance such as changing spark plugs, coils, wiring harnesses,
  • Oversee all third-party TCEQ/EPA required testing.
  • Instruct and assist other maintenance personal on repairs that have to be made in order for the engine(s) to run in compliance with the permitted limits.
  • Maintain a comprehensive schedule of due dates and emission limits for WTX/DELAWARE engines.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical Schooling a big plus
  • 3 yrs minimum experience with emission testing equipment, electric and manual air/fuel ratio controls, and emissions reduction methods and devices
  • Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license, speak fluent English and have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be capable of physical duties in outdoor environment and must pass pre-employment drug screen and random drug tests after hire
