At Atlanta Merch Group, we're looking for a highly skilled Embroidery Machine Operator to operate the machines and embroider products ranging from t-shirts to bags on behalf of our extensive client list. Work expectations are as follows:
- Operate embroidery machines to complete orders to meet deadlines.
- Prepare machine for garments, which includes loading digitized designs into machine network, manual thread color changes, and needle changes when appropriate.
- Examine completed work to detect product defects and verify conformance and adjust machinery as necessary to correct quality or efficiency issues.
- Oil and general maintenance of machines to keep machines in working order.
- Hoop and prep garments
- Handling and assisting in deadline-driven production schedules
- Keep the area around the workstation clean to maintain a safe working environment
Required Skills:
- At least 1 year of experience operating industrial 12-15 needle embroidery machines.
- Experience operating Barudan, Tajima, or similar brand machines.
- Basic understanding of digitizing programs like Wilcom Hatch.
- Basic understanding of design placement across different style products.
- Knows how to use a Hoopmaster hooping system.
- Knows how to embroider a variety of products including and not limited to shirts, hats, polos, sweaters, bags, and other products.
