Job description

Knowledge: Be able to troubleshoot and repair AC/DC controls and motors. Lay out and install lighting, motors, controls, etc. according to electrical and plant codes. Be able to read electrical prints and schematics. Mathematical ability to determine proper components and installation requirements; ability to select proper sizing of fuses, breakers, equipment, wire, and conduit.

Duties (Per shift):

• Check with preceding shift what is down or requires attention
• Check and record air compressor readings
• Check hydraulic break reservoirs
• Check work order slot for machines that are "down"
• Work on "stock jobs" when no higher priority job exists
• Clean work area
• Fill out "Parts to be ordered lists" as needed
• Fill out daily time sheets
• Inform oncoming electrical personnel of any unfinished jobs or problems
• Clean job site and store tools in orderly manner
• Repair and trouble shoot machines that are down (responsibilities include but are not limited to: electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, lighting, heating, mechanical and building problems)

• Record monthly db readings
• Install machines
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Convert machinery and controls as needed
• Replace hoist cables when needed
• Repair and maintain spare parts
• Work as part of a team and independently when needed

Education or Training Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Trade School, Certificate of Specialization
• 2 years experience

Pay: $26.51 per hour
