Our team is currently looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will dismantle defective industrial food production equipment and install new or repaired parts in accordance with factory and industry standards. Job Description:

• Responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, install and repair electrical parts, equipment and systems.
• Safely work with Multiphase, High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control networks, instrumentation, PLC, HMI, VFD, servo and control problems.
• Read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Perform prescribed Preventative Maintenance.
• Maintain accurate and complete records, document all work performed appropriately.
• Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low supply levels to Supervisor
• Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 2-3 years related experience required.
• Attain and maintain required certifications.
• Working knowledge of National, State, Local building codes, OSHA and standard industry safety rules/regulations.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and respond to urgent repairs.

Work Environment

• Fast paced work environment with, in and around industrial machinery.
• Working with Material Handling Equipment daily.
• Cold storage environment. Production rooms are kept at a constant 32 degrees (and below in certain areas). Ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods of time.
• Noise level varies and at times and can be loud.

Physical/Other Requirements

• Capability to stand in one place for 30% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
• Capability to walk throughout department for 70% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
• Manual dexterity, fine manipulation, the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Requires the ability to lift overhead using both arms
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, reach, climb, bend, or stoop for prolonged periods of time on a frequent basis.Must be able to frequently push or pull.
