What you will do:
Performs standard electrical or electronic engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes recommendations for product development.
How you will do it:
  • This position is for the formation (charge and discharge) area of the lithium ion battery manufacturing process. The desired candidate is an electrical or mechanical engineer with the proven ability to provide technical leadership, work autonomously, and provide support to operations team. Must have a strong focus on process and quality. The Scope of position covers the following: (1) Electrical & Manufacturing Engineering, (2) Data Collection and analysis, (3) Process Flow, (4) Working Capital Management, (5) Testing.
  • The manufacturing engineer provides a professional technical service to the plant. He or she ensures that the equipment and process are meeting customer demands in terms of safety, quality, throughput, and reliability. The manufacturing engineer is an agent for continuous improvement in these same areas. He or she is self-directed and self-starting.
  • Manages constraints to improve production machine performance in terms of throughput, cycle time, yield, and availability (uptime).
  • Supports the development and roll-out of Best Business Practices & Continuous Improvement opportunities in manufacturing operations.
  • Executes timely and accurate preparation of required business case documents.
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
  • Develop manufacturing process techniques, and equipment to improve productivity.
  • Provide engineering assistance in problem solving activities.
  • Utilize Project management, equipment maintenance, and engineering projects ensuring customer expectations and KPI expectations are exceeded.
  • Oversee equipment installation, modifications and design.
  • Assess scrap & control process through problem solving techniques and data collection.
  • Has scheduled meetings with plant operations personnel to review project progress and identification of future projects.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Works closely with other disciplines to insure DFM/DFA in a lean manufacturing environment.

What we look for:
  • BS in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.
  • Experience in testing equipment, PLC, automation, desired
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
