Job Description
Tanks Direct, a leading installer of petroleum, chemical, and water systems is seeking an electrical controls technician to join our team in Laurel, MD. The electrical controls technician will install, diagnose, and repair various pieces of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Job Duties
- Plan layout of wiring and install various types of conduit to include PVC, Ridgid and EMT
- Install control wiring between various pieces of equipment to include pumps, motors, motorized ball valves, solenoids, PLC’s and other miscellaneous equipment
- Install communication wiring for MODBUS, RS-232, BACNET and other forms of communication data
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment for repairs and or replacement
- Utilize laptop computer to program PLC’s and other tank monitoring systems
- Fuel & Water Storage Tank Installation Technician
Requirements
One (1) year certificate from college or tech school preferred. Five (5) years minimum experience in related field or combined preferred.
