This position is located at Cascade Valley Hospital and is a 30 hour/week position.]

Sign-On Bonus provided for .60 FTE and above positions.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs direct patient care, utilizing established policies, procedures and standards.
  • Administers contrast and IV's according to policy and procedure.
  • Accurately executes provider orders according to policies and procedures.
  • Performs indirect patient care, utilizing established procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Communicates pertinent information to the appropriate persons in a timely manner.
  • Performs accurate and timely documentation according to SVH guidelines.
  • Assists Cardiologist in performing surgical procedures.
  • Adhere to ASRT and ARDMS standards of practice.
  • Able to work independently and unsupervised and be available for regular emergency standby coverage off-hours and on weekends.
  • Availability to work at multiple locations.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff according to policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that supplies and equipment necessary for patient care are stored in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrates correct and safe techniques in the use of equipment according to specific product information.
  • Follows appropriate procedures for obtaining and returning or cleaning/disposing of equipment and supplies.
  • Participates in economical utilization of supplies and ensures that equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
  • Adheres to Diagnostic Imaging policies.

License/Certification:

  • Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification, American Registry of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (ARDCS) certification or be registry eligible.
  • If hired as registry eligible, required to have ARDMS or ARDMCS within 1 year of hire.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) healthcare provider BLS certification required.

Experience/Training:

  • Minimum one (1) year previous related experience preferred.
  • Additional general and or vascular experience preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirement.
  • Must have good understanding of the equipment and all procedures performed routinely in a hospital imaging department.

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program required.
