As a Direct Support Professional with InClusion Specialized Programs, you will provide daily direct supervision and support to children and/or adults with developmental disabilities in one of our residential homes, helping them keep their independence and improving their quality of life.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid CA Driver's License
- Clean Driving Record
- Valid Vehicle Insurance
- CA Vehicle Registration
- Must register for DSP (Direct Support Professional) Year 1 within 30 days of employment and DSP (Direct Support Professional) Year 2 within 60 days. Or have completed DSP (Direct Support Professional) Year 1 & 2 training course and certification prior to working in the home with individuals
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds & Ability to bend, kneel, run, stoop and other physical movements
Job Duties:
- Assistance to each child and/or adult in working with a group and in handling individual problems as well as assisting residents in all areas of grooming and personal hygiene skills. Document incidents that occur & Implement treatment plan for each resident.
- Administration of discipline (as defined as positive redirection) and setting of limits for behavior.
- Responsible for the assigned physical plant and operations & Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the home.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the program plan for each resident in the Group Home and/or Adult Residential Facility in your role as a DSP (Direct Support Professional).
- Understand and implement exercises designed to improve or maintain, mobility range of motion and self-help skills.
- Perform basic incidental medical treatment as prescribed
- Assist in supervision of meal preparation and housekeeping chores as assigned.
- Have the ability to exercise mature judgment and relate to clients in a warm, caring, and non-expletive means.
- Other duties as assigned by Facility manager/Administrator/Alternate Administrator/License
