PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:
Provide drafting service to the project engineering team in preparing documents for engineering projects.
SCOPE:
- Prepare complete and accurate working drawings from sketches or notes for engineering, manufacturing or construction purposes according to specified standards and specifications.
- Make changes and adjustments to existing documents as instructed by others.
- Assist others on the project engineering team in researching data, developing working drawings as directed by discipline design leads and other construction documents.
- Assist others in field work by preparing sketches and taking data required for final design.
RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Discipline Lead of the assigned discipline and supports the activities of the engineering design staff. A working relationship will exist with all company project and support personnel.
- Must possess working knowledge of drafting standards and procedures.
- One (1) of the following educational requirements:
- Technical school training in the general drafting field.
- Associate degree in design.
- Working knowledge of a Computer Aided Drafting software package is essential. AutoCad or Microstation is preferred. Working knowledge of a 3D modeling software package is a plus.
