Position Summary
Working under the supervision of the Major Gifts Manager, the primary responsibility is to fundraise for
Oliver Gospel by cultivating mid-level donor relationships and funneling donors into the major-level category. He/she also manages Oliver Gospel’s monthly donor program and regularly engages new donors.
Position Qualifications
For Employment with Oliver Gospel Mission
A born-again believer in Jesus Christ
Affirm without reservation the Mission’s Statement of Faith
Fully support the Mission’s Statements of Mission, Vision and Core Values
Ability and desire to work in harmony with other Mission employees
Be on time and ready to work at the assigned work location on every scheduled day of work
Due to sensitivity for potential impact upon the Mission’s Program Participants, the use of tobacco and/or vaping products is not permitted during scheduled work hours or at any Mission event
Valid South Carolina driver’s license
For the Donor Relations Officer
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
Experience in customer service, sales, or nonprofit fundraising
Experience in public speaking
Knowledge of customer relationship management software and data management software
Knowledge of PC-based software and Microsoft suite products

Position Responsibilities
1. Cultivate mid-level and monthly donor relationships through various communication channels
2. Manage, engage, and increase the quantity and value of current mid-level and monthly donors and prospects
3. Compile, manage, and solicit large donations from a qualified portfolio of up to 150 donors
4. Lead engagement of new donors to strategically increase their retention rate
5. Assist the Major Gifts Manager in sponsorship generation, donor research and reporting, and discovering major donors
6. Conduct educational and informative presentations and tours
7. Represent Oliver Gospel at community or partner events
8. Respond to donor questions, problems, or grievances
9. Manage, receive, report, and send memorial and honorarium cards
10. Perform other duties as assigned

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
