Job Summary:

The Dispensary General Manager is responsible for representing Southern Sky Brands mission, vision, and values while developing a high-performing team that consistently delivers the highest level of patient service, education, compliance to reach ambitious sales goals.

The Dispensary General Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the dispensary in accordance with state and local laws and regulations and corporate policies and procedures. They provide support to all departments and the lead on day-to-day activities such as scheduling, purchasing, training, providing policy and procedure updates, product information, and keeping updated with industry news. Accountable for assigning tasks to other managers to monitor and maintain the dispensary sales floor, inventory management, ordering and receiving all inventory and products, arranging deliveries, and maintaining facility compliance and cleanliness. Responsible for setting a standard in maintaining a professional appearance, an organized work environment, and the facility appearance. They provide leadership to all departments to enhance the culture of the store and create a work environment that is stable, safe, and exciting for all staff members. They should have an understanding that there shall be no gaps in compliance to the regulations that pertain to the industry.

The Dispensary General Manager, along with the corporate officers will be responsible for business and marketing strategy, financial oversight, community engagement, vendor relationships and workplace culture. This position reports to and is accountable to the corporate officers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support the hiring and training of team oriented, energetic, and friendly employees
  • Responsible for providing daily leadership and management of dispensary staff, schedules, training, inventory, and patientrelations to deliver quality experience and effective operations
  • Serves as a resource for dispensary staff regarding products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations
  • Coach team to consistently deliver excellent patientservice and personalized cannabis consultations to establish and retain loyal patients
  • Provide team with mentoring, feedback, and developmental opportunities
  • Keeps all managers on track while training in the development of managerial skills
  • Coordinates regular meetings with managers to ensure accurate information is communicated to dispensary staff
  • Communicates regularly with General Management to provide insight and high-level recommendations to consistently improve operations and procedures
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, distributors, local government, neighborhood, and associated organizations
  • Responds to all patient complaints, requests, concerns, and/or suggestions
  • Oversees all operations to ensure compliance of policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, patient records, sales, deliveries, and returns in accordance with the state and local laws and regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly recaps and reporting from sales data and patient counts
  • Verify inventory control system and daily counts of all cannabis products in the facility
  • Provide regular inventory, sales, and profitability reports to the Management Team

Required Skills/Abilities*:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of Google-Suite Tools- Gmail, Meet, Drive, etc
  • Experience in the cannabis industry very desirable, but not required
  • Must be 21 years old and pass a comprehensive criminal background check
  • Strong and proven leadership skills, ability to build, manage and retain highly effective teams
  • Schedule flexibility to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends and some holidays
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and patientservice skills
  • Proficient computing skills with ability to prepare high level reporting for upper Management
  • Innate desire to achieve success while working in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask, maintain calm in stressfulsituations, and provide mature leadership
  • High level of integrity with strong work ethic and time management skills
  • Strong business acumen including excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills
  • Proper employment documentation and authorized to work in the US

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, preferred
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Management Experience 5+ years
  • Experience in presenting ideas, data and plans to management/executive level contracts
  • Must have a Mississippi Cannabis work permit with background check

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to occasionally lift items up to 40 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for extended period of time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
