JOB
The ROGC Dishwasher/Busser/Expo performs duties under the direct supervision of the F&B Manager and Golf Professionals. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to collecting used kitchenware and dishes from dining and kitchen areas, loading dish machine and stacking washed items appropriately, washing specific items by hand as necessary, organizing and plating food orders, delivers food to the patrons, and helps with general cleanliness of the kitchen. This is an at-will position.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential ResponsibilitiesCollects used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.Loads and unload dishwashing machines.Washes specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china).Stores clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately.Set ups workstations before meal prep begins.Ensures there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours.Maintains cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and notifies supervisor of inventory levels.Checks washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues.Removes garbage regularly.Sanitizes the kitchen area, including the floor.Organizes and assists in plating food orders.Assists in delivering food orders to patrons.Complies with all safety and loss prevention policies. Inform supervisor of any unsafe conditions or hazardous work procedures. Correct any unsafe conditions, if possible, and instruct co-workers on safety procedures.Completes all additional duties as prescribed by management.Assists other Park District employees when needed.Other non-essential duties as assigned. Communication & Customer ServiceDevelops and maintains positive and effective working relationship with coworkers and to promote and maintain high morale and enthusiasm.Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.Communicates matters of importance in a timely manner.Makes recommendations to management for improvements and efficiencies.Employee represents the Dundee Township Park District in a professional manner. Safety & Risk Management Maintains a working knowledge of all general and departmental-specific safety rules.Uses material handling equipment or staff assistance when lifting and/or moving objects 50 pounds or heavier.Reports any work-related injuries to supervisor promptly. Immediately reports all accidents and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.Attends all required safety program and in-service education meetings.Corrects unsafe conditions, if possible, alerts co-workers to potential unsafe conditions and/or reports them to supervisor. Instructs co-workers, when necessary, on safety procedures or precautions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
QualificationsMust be minimum of 16 years of age. Prior experience working in a kitchen a plus. Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation techniques preferred. Excellent customer service skills; verbal communication skills and listening skills. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesGood physical condition, sufficient strength, and mobility required.Mechanical aptitude required, including the use of tools, equipment, and machinery.Knowledge and skills in technology, or the ability to learn.Ability to learn additional software and systems required for business transactions.Reading, writing, speaking and understanding English language.Possess good problem solving skills and has capacity to act rationally and calmly in high stress and/or emergency situations.Ability to work a varied schedule including some nights and weekends as required.Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail. Medium Work Lifting-Lifting 30 pounds’ maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Heavy Work Lifting-Lifting 50 pounds’ maximum (with assistance, either mechanical or team lift) with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 to 45 pounds.

Work EnvironmentThe position is located at Randall Oaks Golf Course Banquets. The noise level in the work environment is usually normal restaurant environment, but can go to high in some areas depending on location and events. The general work environment is indoor with outdoor influences. Works in a fast paced environment, may be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces. Exposure to hot cooking equipment, various chemicals and detergents used for cleaning. Parking for position may be up to one to two blocks from work area.
